The new faves

Holidays are a great time to try out new products and I could not wait to get off the plane to try out my new duty free beauty bits. I do think duty free is my favorite part about holidays. I think the place is magical, it's like being a kid in a sweet shop right? Chanel beauty and myself have a love thing going on and I decided to try out Vitalumiere as I do love the Aqua but felt I needed a little bit more coverage. This is a really lovely foundation but be warned it's glowy. More so than the Vitalumiere Aqua. So much so that even me, that loves a glow had to put some translucent powder down the t-zone. Shocking. However the powder did also manage to keep it in place with the warmer weather.
Buy this foundation if you are a sucker for lovely packaging, like a nice bit of coverage but also a dewiness and nice evened out skin. Also it smells of lovely yummy Chanel goodness. I could sniff this all damn day.

Yes it is pricey, but this is your lovely face and it deserves a nice foundation.

To balance out the budget the second product is a gorgeous bronzer from Super Dry! Now, I had heard about this from a very classy cousin of mine and so when I eye balled it in the duty free having failed to spot it in Dundrum I added it to the basket. This bronzer is great bargain buy. It's quite a deep bronzer for me but if you go light handed it blends out nice and evenly. No I did not need another bronzer, but I'm like a magpie when it comes to them. Maybe a bronzer post is next?

Chanel Vitalumiere is €43.00 so maybe a duty free purchase? Or you could get lots of Boots points!

Superdry Bronzer €14.99 a nice price available at Superdry stores or online.

Happy shopping

Bad blogger

Yeah it's been a while, sorry about that. Life has been slightly hectic lately and I also went on holiday  so the blogging has been on hold but I'm back now and will try to keep things a bit more regular.

I love mixing up my skin care as I find my skin often gets used to certain products and they don't work to their full potential. A range I stumbled upon recently and am loving is Environ. Environ is a South African range that was developed by a plastic surgeon and which prides itself on using active ingredients such as Vitamin A, C and various others. I started using the AVST 1 moisturizer as this is how you start on the range and have to say I'm in love with it. It keeps the skin soft, hydrated and really smooth. The moisturizers all contain Vitamin A and as you move on through the range, the amount of the vitamin is upped. Vitamin A is amazing for the skin as it stimulates collagen and elastin ( anti ageing) and helps to control pigmentation. It's basically an active ingredient that many anti ageing brands use. I've been using it for a couple of months now paired up with Hydraluron and I'm really impressed. I have normal/combination skin that can be tight and dry when the weather changes, and so far my skin has been great. No dehydration or dryness. It's stayed smooth and soft despite the autumn/winter weather, so far so good.

The next product is my beloved Hydraluron. I LOVE this stuff. I think it's one of the best products on the market and is a firm staple I will not let myself run out of. Hydraluron is a serum with a gel like consistency. On the whole it's quite a boring product as it doesn't smell or look nice and the packaging is fairly basic so it won't jazz up the bathroom shelf. However when a product works this well, you don't need fancy dan packaging. Hydraluron is made up of hyaluronic acid which is basically a moisture grabber. It can hold up to a 1,000 times it's weight in water and so it's a great ingredient for keeping the skin smooth, plump and supple. As it attracts moisture I tend to slap on a small amount all over my face before then layering on my moisturizer.

Dry skin be gone! Anybody else a fan of these products?

Environ is available in certain beauty salon & Harvey Nichols

Hydraluron is available in Boots.
